Connecting to RedVision system is the first step in configuring you system. All RedVision devices must to be fully wired/ installed before beginning.
If your system doesn't contain a Display, connect via the Smart Battery Monitor instead. See "Connect Via the Smart Battery Monitor" in the full RedVision System Configuration Guide.
On the Display, press the left arrow until the far left page-marker is selected.
Press the up arrow until the Display Settings screen in displayed.
Select Bluetooth® by pressing the bottom‑left Soft Key.
The Bluetooth® Pairing Advertising screen will be displayed.
The Display will now be discoverable by the Configurator App.
Open the REDARC Configurator App.
Keep your phone as close as possible to the RedVision Pro Display during configuration.
The app will display the introduction screen.
Allow any permissions requested for Bluetooth® and location settings. Enabling these permissions is essential for the smooth operation of the RedVision Configurator App.
The app has two options, Import Config and Read Device.
If configuring for the first time, tap Read Device and the app will scan for systems. When you see your system in the list tap Connect. Your system's ID is shown on the Display.
In systems that have multiple devices, make sure you connect to the RedVision Pro Display (REDARC DISP), not the Smart Battery Monitor (REDARC BATSEN).
If you have a configuration to import, select Import Config, then navigate to the file’s location on your phone or tablet and open it.
Once the system is selected it will read the default configuration, this may take a few moments.
Enter the PassCode shown on the RedVision Pro Display into the PIN field of the app, then tap Pair.
At no point should the Bluetooth® connection be established through the device settings on your phone or tablet.
The App will begin pairing to the Display.
After the configuration has been read, you can begin configuring your system.
Pairing complete. You can now begin configuring the individual RedVision devices in your system.
To get started, enter a Configuration Name.
Tap Unit Preferences then set the Temperature Unit to Celsius or Fahrenheit.
Tap Save.
