After a new RedVision® system has been programmed, adjustments may become necessary once the system has been in use for some time. These might include selecting a different icon for a specific channel, rearranging the home screen layout, or adding a new accessory to the setup.
While reconfiguring the system can initially seem complex, following the steps outlined on pages 25 to 34 of the Instruction Manual, along with watching the REDARC Configurator App Instructional Video, can provide valuable guidance and make the process more manageable.
The basic steps to changing a configuration are outlined below.
- Download the REDARC RedVision Configurator App from a device's appropriate App Store
- Ensure the RedVision Configurator App has location services enabled in the phone settings. (Hint: The App location services as well as your devices location services are required in order for this system to operate correctly)
- On a RedVision Pro Display, navigate to the settings menu by scrolling left as far as you can, and then up or down until you reach Display Settings
- Press the lower left soft key next to the Bluetooth® icon, this will then advertise REDARC DISP4300 for Bluetooth® connections
- Open the RedVision Configurator App and select your DISP4300 when it appears under “Choose System”. You may be prompted to enter a passcode – this will be displayed on your RedVision Pro Display at this time
- The next process will be automatic, as the App now connects to the RedVision Pro Display and downloads the existing configuration. When it has finished downloading the configuration, it will display multiple options as mentioned in the instructions linked above, and have an editable “Configuration Name” field at the top of your screen. You can now carry out the changes to your configuration as required
- Once all changes have been made click back until you reach the page with the Configuration Name at the top. Press program at the bottom of your device’s screen. If prompted to choose system again simply select your REDARC DISP4300
- The app will then connect to your RedVision Pro Display and reconfigure it with the changes you implemented. When it has finished programming, a success message will be displayed and the RedVision Pro Display will reset.
